Good Thing about the Beaches in Sydney and Melbourne

With a myriad of natural wonders, tourists are often spoiled for choices in Australia, a country in the Southern Hemisphere. Australia is an island continent that has around 10, 000 beaches. The climate of the country varies due to its size. The northern Australia enjoys a tropical climate and southern Australia a temperate one. The weather can range from below zero temperatures to intolerable.

Cities that are not surrounded by water, crave for beaches. Beaches bring freshness and change and make us happy. Beaches mean fun, and loads of sun and sand. They are natural beauties that are a treat to the eyes. Two cities in Australia stand out for their mesmerizing beaches. Sydney and Melbourne!

Let us highlight few prominent beaches in these two cities.

Scintillating Sydney Beaches

The largest city of Australia is Sydney with a population just under 4 million. What makes Sydney breathtakingly beautiful is its harbor and surrounding water ways. The coastline is lined with beach after beach.

Bondi Beach is one of Australia's most famous beaches and well-known worldwide. It has probably featured on more postcards, more television shows and films than any other in Australia. Every year, tons and thousands of people, from backpackers to billionaires, visit the famous beach.

Situated on the Eastern shore of the island, Manly Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Sydney. One of the notable attractions of this beach is the renowned Historical Walk that narrates about diseased migrants who a long time ago lodged at the northern tip of the island before being confined by the locals. Other fun-filled activities include scuba diving, swimming and kayaking.

Commonly referred to as Glamarana by the locals, the beach has all the beautiful things that one would expect to find at a world-class beach. It is so peaceful that you can go for recreational activities. The beach is quite close to the city.

Marvellous Mebourne Beaches

To the south of Sydney, there is another modern and cosmopolitan city called Melbourne. The city thrives today as a major tourist destination in the Oceania. Melbourne, as a city, can excite, thrill, entertain, amuse and inspire you to no end. Melbourne offers a fine coastal experience for those who love water. Summertime is the best season to hit the beaches and take a dip the chilly waters.

Albert Park beach is not so wide but has an attractive palm strip. You can find many bikers and rollerbladers at the Albert Park beach.

Right next to the Albert Park beach, sits the Middle Park that offers a number of facilities for swimmers. This beach offers a safe and restricted area for surfing and boating. If you have a pet to tag along, part of the beach on the St. Kilda side is exclusively reserved for canine lovers and canines to unwind.
