Places I Visited with 10 Pounds a Day Cost

We all love to take a vacation. It is the best way to break free from one’s droning life. A relaxing & enjoyable holiday also gives us a better perspective of life and motivates us to achieve our goals with added enthusiasm.

However, most people are under the misconception that vacations are a luxury that only a few can afford. Travel enthusiasts can enjoy a debt-free vacation by proper planning and selecting the ideal destinations as per their budgets.

Booking the right places of stay and by saving on the commuting & meal costs, vacationers can enjoy a memorable holiday at an affordable price. There are many tourist destinations which excursionists can visit by spending as low as 10 pounds a day.

Listed below are the 10 best budget destinations of the world. These are my personal favorite cities too, where I have spent around 10 pounds a day which included a dormitory bed at a good hostel, 3 budgeted meals, 1 sightseeing attraction, and 2-way commuting cost.

1)    Pokhara, Nepal: This is one of the cheapest cities of the world. From lakes to caves, and from trekking to whitewater rafting, Pokhara is an exciting city. Revered as the ‘Tourist Capital of Nepal’ Pokhara, renowned for its pleasant weather, Annapurna Mountains, Devi’s Falls, and more, is simply magical.

2)    Bangkok, Thailand: From budgeted dormitories to affordable roadside food joints serving cuisines from the world over, Bangkok is a perfect holiday destination for one and all. A holidaymaker can get a room in a 3 star hotel here at a price that one would spend on a bed in a hostel in Europe!

3)    Chiang Mai, Thailand: Another popular destination in Thailand is Chiang Mai, revered for its indelible charm and unparalleled charisma. Chiang Mai, one of the most visited cities of the Kingdom of Thailand after Bangkok, captivates its guests with its opulent landscapes.

4)    Goa, India: Goa is a beautiful beach territory in India which attracts innumerable tourists from the world over. Though the best time of the year to visit this mesmerizing land is during Christmas and New Year, but saving on your hard-earned money by travelling during the low season is certainly a good idea. Though Goa is one of the expensive destinations of the country, but in comparison to other touristic locations of the world, it is pretty reasonable!
